Bio

Sarah Polinski is a versatile, classically-trained vocalist with experience singing everything from opera to pop. She has performed all around the world—from illustrious concert halls to NFL halftime shows to cruise ships—and has collaborated with Grammy-award winners like Tony Succar and renowned groups such as Straight No Chaser. She is currently a Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, where she serves as a vocalist

Sarah earned a B.M. in Vocal Performance and a B.M in Music Education from Mansfield University, where she studied classical voice with Dr. Alissa Rose. In college, Sarah performed solos at the World Choir Games in Riga, Latvia and Carnegie Hall in New York City. She also appeared as “Cinderella” in Into the Woods, “Fiona” in Shrek, “Rosemary” in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and “Fantine” in Les Miserables.

In 2016, Sarah graduated summa cum laude and was named a runner-up in the national Hal Leonard vocal competition. She started her professional career by joining the College Light Opera Company on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She would perform in nine musicals, starring as “Belle” in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, “Sarah Brown” in Guys and Dolls, “Valencienne” in The Merry Widow, and “Anne” in A Little Night Music.

In 2017, Sarah joined the ensemble of the Ohio Light Opera Company in Wooster, Ohio. (Where she held the roles of “Ludvodica” in Lady of the Slipper and as a “Siren” in George Gershwin’s long-lost operetta, Primrose.) Later that winter, Sarah joined the original cast of “Gift of Harmony”—a new pop a cappella show—at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.

In between contracts, Sarah lived in New York City where she worked for the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) and sang with the prestigious Marble Collegiate Church Choir in Manhattan. She also worked as a Production Assistant for Seattle Repertory’s production of Here Lies Love and the National Tour of Elf: The Musical.

In 2018, Sarah moved to Hamburg, Germany to work with AIDA Cruises. She’d sing pop, rock, jazz, classical, and Broadway in more than 25 countries—including Singapore, Australia, the Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, India, Jordan, Oman, the UAE, Spain, Portugal, France, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Latvia, Estonia, and Russia.

In July 2019, Sarah enlisted with the United States Army after being awarded a position with the Soldiers’ Chorus of the U.S. Army Field Band. Sarah completed basic training at Fort Jackson and was promoted to Staff Sergeant. Since then, she has performed with The Army Field Band annually for dignitaries at the Pentagon, national television twice on NBC’s The Voice (2023, 2024), fans at an Arizona Cardinals halftime show (2022), thousands of people from around the world at The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo (2023), and from coast to coast from beautiful concert halls to high schools and veterans homes. A third generation solider, recently promoted to SFC in November of 2023, she is humbled to perform with such an elite group of musicians, and honored to serve her country through music.

When she’s not touring on the road with The Army Field Band, Sarah is happily residing in Baltimore City with her incredible husband, Lucas Reilly, and sweet rescue pitbull, Annabelle. You’ll find Sarah and Lucas (journalist by day, pianist by night), playing jazz cocktail bars across the city (Order of the Ace is her favorite). In addition to performing, Sarah is a certified K-12 music teacher, with a special focus on choral directing and vocal pedagogy. Sarah is grateful to her parents, family, friends, and mentors for helping her find her voice.
